Motorized Curtains for Large Living Room Windows | Galaxy Design Video #207

Anat:

Hi everyone!

Today we are here in Glendale, California. As you can see behind
me, we are actually in the living room where we have this beautiful large window. We are
going to be working on the living room today. We also have the dining room and even the
master bedroom as part of the overall project. We’re going to do something very unique and different today.
This is one of our in-home visits that we get to do.

Steve:

So our client happened to find us on Google and she was looking for something
that would be motorized draperies or electronic draperies, also known as
remote control draperies and that’s what we do more than anything else nowadays
because that’s what’s in and so we are planning on doing that for this client. The clients are very excited. And we’re
very excited about to see how it’s going to turn out, so follow us along.

Anat:

Okay. This is one of our in-home full design services where our customers call
us and we handle everything from the initial design consultation all the way through to the final installation. They get us to come over and we choose colors, patterns,
beautiful designs. Today we are actually going to share a little bit about
what we have created here.

Steve:

This particular design, as you can see behind us, we’ve done the corner windows as well
as a bay window and a half bay window. And our client decided to take advantage of our motorized drapery as well as our remote control
draperies that we offer. These can be done by just a click, having the drapes
open, stop and then close at any time. So more and more smart homes are coming
about and using this technology.

So the job is now complete. We’ve are very pleased with the way the job
has turned out and we’d like to kind of tell you a little bit about it. And
then this particular job here, it turned out to be quite nice. What really made
it unique and different is to be able to do two different types of window
treatments all in one and right next to one another.

Anat:

Exactly, and the way we accommodate that is that this is a very large window. Our client
really didn’t want to necessarily cover it. She has a beautiful view and we
have not progressed with a full window covering. We did the cornice box again to follow with the draperies
and the sheers, and we’re going to share more about the shears in a minute but we have used one of our seven-piece combos
on the corners itself. Our Florence Combo, again, fully embellishment
with Swarovski Crystal Elements and the gems. So this is one of our Gem Collections
that, is very beautiful.

Steve:

So the other feature about this particular job was the automation. These
draperies are being automated with just the simple click that can be open, stop
and open again further. And if you’d like to go in and stop them from closing at any time, you can adjust it on the remote. It’s really, really nicely done.
